This is an inspirational post for aspiring models & those who have always dreamed of doing a shoot. One would think the shots below are of a professional model...well I'm here to tell you she's not a professional and she was SUPER insecure at first. Once she got the hang of it she ROCKED it!
In my opinion, learning your face and body are the initial steps to having
a successful photo shoot. Everyone has a 'good' side and once you learn to
'WERK' your assets and be candid at the same time, you'll begin to see a
difference in your photos.

Saturday was such a beautiful day as we celebrated baby Journey in style! It was a rocky week for my family as we received some devastating news BUT God is able therefore we were excited about Ash & Darnell’s Baby Shower : )
The color scheme was an array of purples with a Black/White Damask print (a nice break from pink). The lavender color exuded class and most importantly the event did NOT scream ‘I’M HAVING A BABY GIRL’!!! The shower was fully equipped with a goodie table, cotton candy machine, projector screen, and a spread a food! Loved it, doesn’t get any better than this!
Enjoy : )

What a blessing! My sister is expecting a baby girl on June 22nd; her name is slated to be Journey Cheyanne Rippey! Wow, a girl! You can imagine my excitement; I’ve been in boy land since last summer. Boys are the coolest, however there’s something about that mommy and daughter dynamic : )
Soooo of course I had to shoot my sister’s maternity pics! Yay! Me (photog), Ashley (sis), Darnell (bro in law), and Journey (belly) met in Audubon NJ at an amazing lake. We went with tons of color in honor of Journey’s personality (yes we’ve bonded already & she’s vibrant just like her auntie) LOL!!!
Enjoy a few pics from our photo shoot!

She was just learning to walk when this shoot took place & the camera LOVED her. I look forward to her ‘DIVA at 3’ shoot! coming soon...

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot a fun and spunky event planner. We were lucky to have booked her promotional shoot on the most gorgeous day of the year. Meet Brittany Allen; she understands how essential it is to market and promote herself and her business. She told me ‘A true professional invests in their own brand first’. I truly respect that!
So, let me tell you a little more about our Brittany. I’ve worked with her many times before; it seems as if her client list is endless. She ALWAYS has an event approaching and guess who she calls for pictures??! I must admit I can’t keep up with her schedule!
From weddings, parties, dinners to showers, Brittany has become the ‘go to’ planner in such a short period of time. About 2 years ago she interned at a premiere event planning agency which led to her starting her own event planning business! I just love entrepreneurs, can you tell?
Her business is called Beautiful Beyond Dreams, LLC. She currently serves the NY, NJ, PA & DE areas.

Anything goes nowadays; nothing is too weird, odd, strange, or taboo. That being said, when I was booked to shoot a bride AFTER her wedding, I was excited! I thought to myself, “How smart is that”...we all know weddings are super stressful and great bridal images are sometimes a challenge to capture mainly due to time constraints.
So, Bernai Brown-Holman thought it’d be an awesome idea if she booked a shoot where she dressed as if it was her wedding day all over again! Hair, makeup, the works!!!! FUN FUN FUN! There was NO stress, NO time constraints, or guests; it was just us gals recreating the most beautiful day of her life. We headed to downtown Haddonfield which is a ritzy town in South Jersey; some may even say ‘old money’. We came across a GORGEOUS cathedral, it’s downright breathtaking. Needless to say, we set up shop and created magic. A combination of a perfect location and a purtty bride; you can’t go wrong : )
I have a love affair with this wooden door. GASP!
